    GROUP A P W D L F A GD Pts

    1 Iceland 3 3 0 0 8 0 8 9
    2 Czech Rep 3 3 0 0 8 4 4 9
    3 Netherlands 3 1 0 2 4 5 -1 3
    4 Latvia 3 0 2 1 1 4 -3 2
    5 Kazakhstan 3 0 1 2 3 7 -4 1
    6 Turkey 3 0 1 2 2 6 -4 1

Group A is looking very surprising. Turkey only on 1 point and Iceland on 9 after 3 games. The Dutch on 3 is shocking too. Czechs going strong too on 9. Group of death!?

Lars Lagerback has done some job with Iceland

He has some good players to work with in fairness. I've always admired the Nordic attitude to the game, big difference between watching the Faeroes and someone like Andorra or San Marino.

15 year old norwegian is the youngest player to play in a european championship qualifying match

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29603718
Norway's Martin Odegaard became the youngest player to appear in a European Championship qualifier in his side's victory over Bulgaria in Oslo.

The Stromsgodset midfielder, who is 15 years and 300 days old, came on in the 64th minute with the score at 1-1.

Norway's Tarik Elyounoussi had lifted the ball over Nikolay Mihaylov, before Nikolay Bodurov levelled with a header.

Havard Nielsen sealed victory for Norway, who benefitted from Odegaard's creativity.

He looks tiny in the picture at the bottom of the report

you have no idea what tiki-taka is.

The fact that Barca mix it up like they do now, by definition, means they're not a tiki-taka team anymore.

Spain are realising it too now.

I think your definition of tiki taka needs revision, I'm entirely confident in my ability to judge Barcelona's style of play and the subtle changes it undergoes on a regular basis.

Eh, I'm pretty sure that Johan Cruyff himself is the embodiment of Total Football.

Cruyff's beliefs, the evolution of his ideas found a living, breathing morsel in Xavi Hernandez, Total Football which has ultimately become Tiki Taka in Spain needed a symbol, Xavi is that symbol.

You're seriously pressing on with this? They're not the same thing, not at all. Cruyff's legacy is Total Football, whose greatest icon is undeniably Cruyff himself, not Xavi. You talk some amount of balls sometimes :pac:

so tiki-taka isn't an ideology anymore that exponents of it must stay true to? it can be tweaked as it suits you?

    fúcking lol.

And dear sir, do tell where does Tiki Taka come from? How did it originate? In the halls, the corridors, on the pitches Cruyff once graced. His Dream Team, his idea of Total Football has, over the decades, morphed and evolved and, overseen by men like Luis Aragones and Pep Guardiola, today what is Tiki Taka, was once Total Football.

Of course it can. Any system can be tweaked, otherwise you become predictable. Infact I will put forward that Pep Guardiola's reign as Barcelona manager, seen as the high point of pure tiki taka, was tweaked and altered each season. Did it make it any less pure? Any less beautiful? Any less tiki taka?

Mustn't have tweaked enough if a team were able to smash them off the pitch and embarrass them.

Ok, so tiki taka came from Cruyff.

    And Cruyff came from Ajax.

And at Ajax, Rinus Michels invented total football.

And total football was heavily influenced by The Mighty Magyars.

And The Mighty Magyars were managed by Gusztav Sebes, who implemented their style of play.

And Sebes developed himself initially in the sport as part of the local team of the Renault factory in Paris.

Therefore, I put forward my thesis that tiki taka football was invented by the Renault Clio.

Referee's and Serbian FA agreed to start the match but the Albania FA will only agree if the stands are emptied

Assume thats a 3-0 to Serbia in the eyes of the rules? Tho being their fans I doubt it.

Given the Albanians started it with that drone stunt and their failure to agree to restart then I assume Serbia win by default.

The Serbian player had every right to take the flag down.

Excellent article written prior to the Serbian/Albania match giving some background on why it was expected to be a potentially troublesome fixture.

What you really have to admire is the flying skills of the drone pilot, the way the flag moves casually back and forth almost mocking the Serbs with its leisurely nonchalance
