Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,
Can anyone suggest any options to enable mirroring on 3G iPhone? I would like to use it with a Mili Power Projector 2. I searched the forum I didn't find any such similar questions.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
    Fi.

Mirroring can only be done on anything with an A5 CPU or newer (ipad 2 or 3, iphone 4s)

there may be a way to mirror a 3G via cable if you jailbreak, but i doubt it.

you would need to jailbreak your phone and install TVOut

will that work for mirroring? i thought it would just be for video.

Maybe the OP isnt sure of the difference between tv/video out and mirroring.

TVOut does a mirror. the standard "TV out" only does videos, pics etc - but with jailbreak TVOut it does a mirror

you will probably also need resupported or resupported 4 depending on what cable you use

Yeah you only need to jailbreak the older phones to get mirroring, iPhone 4S to TV

    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter

This connects with HDMI and also has a charging socket.

You can also do it wirelessly with Apple TV, but then you'll need to sort out something with a charger then

you can then use the composite cable,

    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/MC748ZM/A/apple-composite-av-cable

Only draw back is that it doesn't do mirroring, so it will only output video from certain apps (Videos, YouTube, Photos)

tvout and resupported will work with the composite cable

    about 12 euro off amazon

i wonder would the amazon one work ? as its probably not a genuine apple product ?

    what do ye think ?

just realized it says at the end it only plays videos and pics from your folder so thats not much good. :(
id want one that could stream or play youtube videos at least !!

that cable wont allow streaming (mirroring), you need the HDMI cable for that. Or, you can jailbreak and install TVOut and then that cable can mirror

    Hi,

I have an iphone 4s and I want to connect it to my TV. Just to clear up a few queries, if I get the AV composite cable I can only watch content stored on my phone on the TV using this cable, is this correct?

However the content I want to get onto the TV is from apps like rte player, 4OD, skygo, netflix etc. will the AV adapter allow me to do this or is there a way to do it using the AV composite cable?
