Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wonder how many more times Long has to score in a friendly before he's finally given a run in competitive action?

Le Guen must be on a decent wage to be managing these lads.

After 12 minutes it's fairly obvious that Wilson is much more of a footballer than Ward. I know he's not up against much but he has a decent first touch and is confident enough to pick out a pass.

In fairness Ward is a decent footballer, just not at left back. Going forward he's quite good IMO. Let's judge Wilson when he's against better opposition. I for one, never like a right footed player at left back.

*waits for someone to mention Lahm

Would be hugely surprised if anybody who performs well tonight starts against Germany. Hope I am wrong but.

Brady as much as I'm happy to see him in the team has been very poor so far. Gave the ball away a lot so far, really hope he improves.

Haha as soon as I post that he stuck that away nicely with wrong foot!!

Stoke ball ****e ball, but any of their fans will tell you he is comfortable playing football.

Ireland 2 - 0 Oman. Absolutely disgraceful. And a United player scoring on his debut. Only one option here, sack the Trap. :pac:

I don't mind it as long as they're playing in that position at club level.

Completely unfair in my opinion to ask a player to play in an unfamiliar position at international level when they barely get three or four days of training behind them with the international team e.g Cox on the wing last Friday, Keogh tonight.

    nice finish from Brady

As someone said earlier it's hard to get too excited about us winning with these players, with Trap resorting to his usual lot for the next game.

Nice to see us pass the ball around a bit tho, McCarthy and Meyler seem to want to pass the ball. Opposition isn't great but can't be any worse than what he were hoofing endless balls forward against on Friday.

McClean instead of Keogh for 2nd half wud be great to see

So we can't feel excited about beating Kazakhstan because they're too poor and we should beat them easily. We can't feel excited about beating Estonia as it was an easy draw. We can't feel excited about beating Bosnia as it was only a friendly.

What wins can we feel excited about?

thought it was a peno and we were easily opened but it as a bit of a dive and they should have done something with the position they were in
