Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The general consensus from the stuff I've read seems to be that it isn't the tell all juicy insight into the club that neutrals wanted but instead comes across as a Liverpool promotion piece. I think most Liverpool fans will be happy it's the latter.

Man I hate Bobby Valentine. If Liverpool ever had a manager like him nobody here would complain about another manager again!

A few moments later we cut to a scene where one of Liverpool’s Spanish players, Daniel Pacheco, is holding a baseball and he asks somebody: ‘What is this?’
He is helpfully told: ‘A ball’.
Pacheco then looks at the object for several seconds with a huge smile on his face (right), as if he cannot take it in.

Ah, here. Something fishy about that.

And so we get a good nose around the extravagant homes of Rodgers and Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain being described by the narrator Clive Owen as the winner of "two FA Cup titles" – what about the rest? – introductions to their families and Gerrard discussing the "due diligence" process of securing a first date with his future wife.

    LOL
Television's need for the catchy sound-bite puts Rodgers in dangerous David Brent territory on occasion.

I would just like to point out that I made the David Brent comparison first. ;)

As I predicted, this documentary will be an embarrassment.

Producers making up storylines and feeding the "characters" lines. Doesnt sound much different than any other reality tv ****e thats out there today.

Up next week a scene where team Liverpool visit America and try Hot Dogs for the first time, young player Martin Kelly asks team boss can he take his daughter to the dance and we finally take one step closer to revealing who killed Doni.

Johnson and Gerrard both suspended for the next match. Turning into a pretty good international break for once :) Just Suarez to go I think, starting in the match just kicked off against Ecuador.

2nd yellow. Didn't see first but 2nd was fair enough.

Well it makes a change that we arent getting compensation off the FA's insurers like before. Think it was late 2010 when we lost Gerrard for a month and Johnson for 3 weeks. LFC physio had a rant on twitter about it.

I watched that game tonight. They were both pretty good i thought, first yellow was harsh enough but its a pansies game these days. Second was a tired tackle but not malicious in any way, just a tackle from behind.

He struggled badly against Arsenal with only two days off, hopefully that extra day will help him for Saturday.

As he is the person most affected by what happened at Hillsborough I wouldn`t expect to see Kess round these parts for a couple of days and despite all the bitching and fighting everyone has been involved in lately I hope I speak for everyone that uses this thread when I say "I hope you and your family and friends get what you`re looking for today mate. You`re in all our thoughts. YNWA"

I must have missed this along the way. Did he lose a family member?

    He said this last Friday
But most of all, I am in no real mood for online fights right now because as someone who is from Liverpool, and who did lose people at Hillsborough, next week is a big week for me as a Liverpool supporter and for me next Wednesday is a lot bigger than my current hopes and my current doubts about the club.

Ch5 is not in any "normal" channel line up from any supplier to the Irish Market. UPC don't carry it, and you have to do some special tuning on a Sky Box.

It may be available to people with Freesat boxes, but that's a minority, and it's not FTA here.

The Guardian are running a Livefeed for the day. This has just been posted
Word just in from our Liverpool-based football reporter Andy Hunter who has just sent me a quick note:

Been told the families have just given the panel a standing ovation after what they heard.

A home office spokesman has said its "massive" what's about to come out.

    Here is the link

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Tony Barrett:
The Hillsborough families have literally applauded the panel for their work.

Blood was taken from victims without knowledge to test for alcohol, and if no alcohol found then a search for criminal record was done.

Anyone with SKY can watch Channel 5 - its on the EPG, anyone with a FTA or freesat box can likewise. Why UPC don't have 5 is a bit of a mystery given they carry 3e!

edit! it seems I'm wrong but there is a trick to make it appear on the Irish EPG (see satellite forum for details)
Of course one can just pull the card and reboot.

It was in the 2nd Taylor report and was also referenced in MP Steve Rotherham's opening speech @ the Hillsborough commons Debate last year.
It's public knowledge that not only did they test every victim's blood alcohol level, they also referenced against their criminal records.
