Gaming & Developer RIG - 1300€

Hello boardies! I plan on building my first computer at the end of the year and fortunately for me by that time i'll have money to buy the parts and such.

I'll plan to have this as my main for 4-5 years so if someone could pick out the parts for me on Hardwareversand.de that would be awesome!

P.S I've already chosen the card so if you want add it into that price.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Video editing/3D Modelling/HTPC/Internet] (If gaming include which games) Gaming mainly along with software & game development. This will be my rig for playing game's & developing software (I plan to do a 4 year course in Software Design (Games Development)

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No] It's a Samsung Full HD. It's 23inch & it's aspect is "16:9" I don't plan on purchasing another monitor till the new year sales.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

The one spix made up is very nice, should do you grand. Personally I'd drop down to 1TB on the HDD and bump the 128GB SSD to a 256 but that's only if you play a lot of games as well as have a lot of programs.

Do you know what programs you will be using. The i7 mightn't be needed and it might be worth your while dropping down to an overclockable i5 if the programs won't avail of hyperthreading.

I'll be more likely using heavy intense programs like Unreal Development Kit & Unity. I do plan on playing Alot of games so having the 2TB Might be needed as I'll have music and movies on it too. Thanks again guys.

I would say you should consider some redundancy on the hard drives if your data is going to be very important to you. That would mean getting at least two storage hard drives. Although, as I found out if the motherboard dies on you that data is still locked to that motherboard and you wont be able to get the data off the hard drives.

Basically the same build as more with a few improvements. Went for an overclockable i7 and motherboard to support it. Overclocking is dead easy on these systems and if you plan on keeping the build for a few years then you'll want a bit of extra power out of it. I added a better cooler for overclocking.

That's a German copy of Windows 7 so you'll need to download a english iso and burn it to a DVD or put it on a usb, then use the License key from the German copy.
