Nail polish for fair skin

hello ladies,

I love the nail thread and was wondering if any of you would have any recommendations for very pale skin? I have nice nails but my hands are so white that I find it hard sometimes to get colours that work for my skin tone.

Coral works well on me, if that helps. Gratuitous image because I love the pretty colour of this (Opi - Charged up Cherry) which looks good with my white skin.

I think strong pinks/reds/oranges/strong blues/dark colours would work well with your skin tone. I a very pale myself and they work on me.

I tend to avoid nudes/pale colours as I find they give the mannequin hands look, which I don't like. There are a few nudes/pales that I do wear, but there are very, very few of them.

I think really vibrant colours look great against pale skin *looks at own pale, pale maulers*. I love proper old fashioned reds, the colour of UK post boxes, corals, dark navy blues, deep forest-y greens, blacks. I think they look great on other people but browns, bronzes, brownish reds, yellow toned, silvery, very pale pearl colours and some pastels look pants against my own pale skin.

My favourite pale person colour is definitely bright, bright red

I've a similar skintone to you. The only colour I've found which didn't suit my skintone (so far) are non-bright yellows (e.g. Essence Sundancer). Pretty much everything else looks nice, especially the dark/vampy and bright colours Toast and Miss Flitworth mentioned. I love light shades.nudes as well, and I find they look fine. There's always a shade out there to suit you, no matter your skintone.

I think red or even dark winey red goes amazingly well with pale hands,also very dark blues,and light powder blues or powdery pinks can go well..Most colours go well with it i think..

I find rimmel 60 seconds works well,i have a few of them or sallys..

Similar story here. I've generally found that rich, dark colours look best with my skin tone. Wishy washy colours don't work. The hardest colour I found to match were oranges and bronzes.

It's trial and error really, because a colour can look quite strong in the bottle, but can be pale on.

Pastel colours seem to go well on pale skin as well as sultry reds. To be honest I haven't really found colours that haven't suited my skin other than some yellows. If I like a colour I'd wear it regardless though

I think pinks, corals and reds work well on pale hands. For darker colours I think something that warms up the skin tone (chocolate brown, dark purple, navy) is better than a black which can be stark.
