Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is an issue with role permissions that is being worked on at the moment.
If you are having trouble with access or permissions on regional forums please post here to get access: https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058365403/you-do-not-have-permission-for-that#latest

Is work good for you or detrimental?

Something to think about on this fine Thursday afternoon. The stress of it destroys many people's lives.

I could probably earn more if I tried for a better job but to be honest I have so many silly hobbies and the like that I am happy to stick to being a lowly programmer with little stress, and no management responsibilities... plus once I do my minimum work I am on flexi time meaning I can have days off if and when I want them. Means I am not rich and not saving very fast but the freedom and lack of stress is difficult to put a price on. Nor am I that ambitious really.

After being made redundant and getting a new fulltime job only two years later, it beats the hell out of collecting the dole cheque and signing on, on a thursday afternoon.

If you enjoy it, it's probably good for you.

If you hate it, it's definitely bad for you.
