Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Upgrading from iphone 4 to 4s

    Sotry if this has been gone over but...
    I have an iphone 4 with a Three contract.
    Id like to buy a second hand 4s off ebay and use it instead, (perhaps from US)
    im a little confused about sims/unlocking etc

    Could someone advise on how to proceed
    what to avoid etc

    Have a look at adverts.ie first. It's a sister site to here. I bought my 4s there when my contract was up. Just make sure it's unlocked or locked to 3.

    Thanks nassard, but my contract isn't up till next year.
    i dont want to end contract.
    Can i just put my sim in another iphone and continue with contract?
    is there any need to get Three involved at all?

    Yes, you can just buy another phone on adverts, donedeal or ebay etc and switch sim over (provided the new phone is unlocked to all networks) and continue your 3 contract.

    If you buy a phone from US make sure it's GSM and not CDMA, as GSM is the standard in EU.
    If you buy one from a local person you can try the phone with your sim before you hand over money.

    As a tip, also bring a laptop with itunes installed. Plug phone into laptop to check it's recognised by itunes - some scammers will try to sell you some Chinese fake iphone that cannot work with itunes, only real iphones can.
