Hey Clareman, why are you not in Thurles?:D:D:D

My wife is sick :( First All Ireland I've missed, neighbours will be complaining after all the shouting at the TV that was going on

What a finish. Sexton will get the credit and rightly so, but what about Toner claiming the restart? Crucial.

I was watching the game in the Woolshed and the cheers for Toner's claim to the restart said it all really... How many times have we tried to restart to win a game in the last few minutes and not being able to pull it off? We'd be looking at a loss there if it wasn't for Dev.

I had to leg it down for the second half because the TG4 issue. I'd say about 15 or so people watching the game, but it was a decent vocal bunch. :)

Yeh, I was surprised they didn't show the entire passage of play tbh.

Hopefully if they get their hands on the Sportitalia recording they'll upload better highlights.

Thanks, .ak. I hadn't seen any of the try or drop goal due to the stream being poor. The drop goal was a monster. Pass could have been better from Cooney which makes the kick all the better. He had to pull it down from head height to the deck.

Didn't know the try was that good. How were people not talking about that? Damien Browne with the hands of a centre to put BOD through with a superb line. Good pace too to burn the cover.

BOD in a Lions year is a serious prospect.

The more I see that drop, the better it looks.

Yeh I missed the try myself, was making my way down to the woolshed and missed it. Serious gas and a serious line shown by BOD... Hard to tell what exactly he's losing as he gets older...

BOD showed some good wheels for the try.

He really did. The defender he burned past on the angle who didn't get close to him. In terms of sheer agility and change of direction at pace, he's still one of the best.

Leinster weren't at their best, but Treviso were more than a handful, they're shaping up to be a very decent team. They gave a few shocking passes at crucial times though, and that really killed their momentum. If they can stick those they have the potential to be a dangerous opponent for anyone. Would be nice to see an Italian team in the playoffs but that still looks a long way off yet.

The standard of back play in Italy is still not there yet. They need to be developed far better. I'd love to see a very talented coach emerge down there and really get them moving the backs well. Their forwards are more than good enough, and their back rows more than mobile enough, to sustain that sort of play.

Maybe it's that the guys in Italy with the sort of skills to be good 5/8ths etc. all end up playing soccer!

Why did the ref not blow it up after Sexton's drop? Outrageous! Could have potentially cost Leinster the game ಠ_ಠ

I'm pretty sure that the TG4 clock for the game in Treviso doesn't take into account when the ref says time off so while TG4 says 80 minutes the refs clock doesn't.

TG4 don't follow the ref's watch. Their time isn't necessarily what the ref has. Not the first time this has been the case.

Think the same thing was happening for zebre V connacht the week before as I think they had something like 87 minutes on the clock and I was wondering what the hell was happening

They didn't for one or two games, but now they stop the clock when the ref does, but the lad who's responsible for it is asleep at the wheel half the time, not sure if he only speaks Irish or if he has any English, but by the time he cops it, he's let another 10 - 20 seconds lapse, usually meaning the TG4 clock is about 2 - 3 minutes fast by the end.

In the Connacht match before, the clock in the second half ran to about 89 minutes by the time the ref blew the game up. In that game they weren't stopping the clock at all.

Actually that's the entire game. When you get to the end, a sponsored message will come up but then Part 2 will play.
