Found one that didn't work - Samuli Edelmann (Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol). It should be 2 considering he starred with Tom Cruise who is a 1 himself.

I got annoyed with this. With Choi Min-sik, I decided search his Korean co-stars hoping that if he was a 3, one of them would at least be a 4. However, they all seemed to star with a western actor in at least one other movie meaning they were all either 3 or 2. Then I stumbled across a 4!

Jeon Mi-seon and Oh Yun-hong appeared in Love Is a Crazy Thing.
Oh Yun-hong and Kim Hye-su appeared in A Good Day to Have an Affair.
Kim Hye-su and Aida Turturro appeared in Too Tired to Die.

Some equally unproductive work colleagues of mine discovered a number of 4s. There's Tim Tebow, Phil Hellmuth, Howard Lederer and a few other professional poker players who made some sort of cameo somewhere.

James May isn't technically an actor but surely if he was counted there would be a much shorter route to Kevin Bacon regarding appearing in the same episodes as many of the 'Star in the reasonably priced car' segments. Don't think the search works on everything. But for the most part it's impossible. Can't get more than 3 myself with Noel Fielding...

That's not that surprising, since he's never appeared in any movie. If you include TV shows, his Bacon number is 2
