Play latest films in surround?

    Hi

    I have just aquired a Musical Fidelity HTP 5.1 system and am wondering will i have problems playing the latest films in surround sound playing MKV files?

    You do realise that this is only a sound processor and not an amplifier? You still need to hook it up to a separate amp and speakers to get any sound. Todays AV amps have excellent sound processors built in so adding a separate one makes no sense, unless you are setting up a very high end system with separate components.

    Yes i have an amp also Musical Fidelity ht600. It will be driving Mirage Omnipolar speakers OM9 and OM7 +OM2 and subwoofer.

    I just want to know if its going to work with the latest 5.1 DTS/Dolby???
