How good is BoI's saving account compared to credit unions?
Would there be some sort of tax or whatever.
If BoI is better how do I set it up?
    Thanks.

Review all your options for your deposit.

Tax will be 30% DIRT normally.

    Hi Eman 321,

Thanks for your query. Regrettably we would not be able to tell you what option would be best for you. If you would like to speak to one of our qualified financial advisors you can ring them directly on 1890 623 456. They would be able to discuss the options available to you.

You can also find up-to-date information on all of our savings products here and may find some helpful information on the Help with Finances section of our website.

In relation to your query about what taxes that may apply our financial advisors would also be happy to discus this with you. You can find more info on Deposit Interest Retention Tax (DIRT) on the Irish Revenue Department's own website.

The options on how you can apply for our various savings products will differ depending on the type of Savings Account you decide on. Some can be applied for online or over the phone, others would need to be applied for in a branch.

    I hope this helps.

    Pat
