Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has Johnson forgot how to defend?

He never knew how to defend.

This lad on Fox Sports (not Warren Barton, the other lad) isn't a fan of Liverpool by the sounds of his half-time analysis.

People need give Rodgers time. He has hell of mess to fix.

he has added to the mess and made it worse, last years performances were far better than the rubbish we produced this season

One of the things I like about Shelvey is that he doesn't hide. He's always looking for the ball. Off the pace today though.

Sahin for Gerrard would be one change that might restore some balance. Let Sahin then play alongside Allen.

Would take Shelvey off and bring on Assaidi. Put Assaidi on the left and push Suarez into the centre behind Borini so that he plays in the Support striker/CAM slot and give him and Assaidi the freedom to switch roles as Assaidi can play left wing, right wing, support striker or as a CAM.

Might mean being closer to a 4-2-3-1 than a 4-3-3 but the formations are similar enough in terms of set up.

thing is, Gerrard won't be coming off. Like unless he gets picked off by a sniper in the stands he won't be whipped off and that has applied almost uniformly to Kenny, Roy and Rodgers. How can we see his anonymity so clearly yet they all think he's the old Gerrard? he's gone missing more often than not for quite some time.

    Yeah, both worth a try.

Not sure how match fit Sahin is though, but Gerrard has been quite poor.

Shelvey is good one week, terrible the next. Frustrating.

I find the reactions here crazy.

As if a team never went behind before.

Losing 1-0 at half time due to one sloppy goal.

Thought LFC were the better team overall but not scoring.

Did Sahin play for Turkey during the week?

    Surprising he's not starting today.

Jesus Liverpool look headless at times.

Seems like O'Shea caught Suarez a bit after all. Granted he was looking for it but who doesn't when they feel contact in the penalty area these days.

He's been one of Liverpool's better players IMO. Made poor mistake for goal but been alright...
Jonjo really needs to do hell of alot more with the positions he picked up

Yep,no different from Welbeck earlier on.

BTW, that is a Penalty every day of the week.

John O'Shea, doesn't get the ball gets Suarez's leg, and he goes down with the contact.

They slowed it down on ESPN and you can clearly see the contact.

People need give Rodgers time. He has hell of mess to fix.
People need to stop blindly saying he needs time as if he is entitled to it no matter what the results. He needs to earn time, and that requires achieving some results sooner rather than later.

In fairness you cant blame him for Reina howlers and Skrtel mistakes few weeks ago.

Players have let him down so far too.

At least Rafa played him in a way that made sense. Rodgers should know that him floating in front of the back four will not fit with what he wants to do and should insist that he plays higher up the pitch.
