Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Fergie says Fletcher is in the squad so im hoping to see a bit of him late on, RVP and Kagawa are fit. Wouldn't be suprised if Fergie started chicarito after the praise he had for him after the Southampton game.

Wigan haven't scored at old Trafford since 2006 and that was a Leighton Baines penalty

    prediction : 4-0 united win

    2-1

RVP to get a quick hattrick then go for a rest.

Isn't this Scholes' 700th game for United if he plays?

    2-1 or 3-1 to United.

Just be nice to see us play full 90 minutes of good football.

Our tempo in games over the last few seasons has been pedestrian in these types of games and has cost us some crucial points in end

Think RVP will grab a couple if he starts!

Did Alex hint at playing Hernandez today in his press conference?

Also, Fergie is managing his 500th home game today.

It's a day of remarkable achievements. Hopefully we can get the win to crown them all.

+2, At least I swapped out De Gea last night, what's the bets Fergie will bring on RVP for 10 minutes at the end just to troll us.If he does & my vice captain Corzola runs riot I'll cry.

I could't afford to loose another -4 changing players (-48 last week) :) .... fantasy football not going well

I KNEW SAF wouldnt start RVP. Thats how he got injured so often with Arsenal. Wenger would play him adter an international or even if he wasnt 100%. Hes obviously not fully match fit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

Heard the starting 11 there, fucking annoyed about the lack of De Gea, what's Fergie thinking? It's not like goalkeepers need a rest for midweek matches! I sincerely hope he starts against Liverpool next week...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

Nani must have a good game today. Without Rooney and RVP we need him to step it up.

Be really great to see Welbeck and Chico light it up.

Giggs and Scholes together I don't like . Hope Welbeck Is up top and not on the wing .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

I don't mind that team at all, apart from de Gea not being in goal again. That's pretty annoying. Would have played van Persie myself just to be that little more sure of the win.

That 11 should be more than enough to beat Wigan though.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

Looking forward to seeing Buttner, not looking forward to seeing anyone else.

0-2 down at half time, Kagawa and RVP to come on and scrape a 3-2 win.

This line-up is worrying, Wigan are a very good team and a win today will be a good result.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    That's a mad team!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,511 ✭✭✭VW 1

One positive is 4 defenders playing in the back 4 again, hoping Butner makes a good debut.

Still can't believe that de Gea was dropped for one mistake, Lindegaard was poor for the headed Southampton goal and has poor distribution. Get big Dave in the team and give him a run of games again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Inspector Coptoor

Very very average looking United team.

Could be a tough day at the office.

Giggs on the wing or in CM? Don't like Welbeck on the left.

If De Gea was dropped for that mistake, then why not Vidic? It was equally his fault. Ferguson should look at the bigger picture and focus on the fact that David is a better goalkeeper than Andres, and the only thing that Lindegaard has going for him over De Gea is his frame and strength.

Presume it'll be a traditional 4-4-2. Giggs on the left, Danny and Chico up front.

Agree with the first bit but not that Wigan are a very good team.

Im slightly annoyed at the team but we are at home to Wigan. Its one thing showing teams respect but given knocks picked up, midweek European matches (would you have preferred Fergie resting here like last season??) and a tough game next weekend I understand why Fergie has shuffled the pack. As said though, still a wee bit concerned but its a squad game these days

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Not too worried about the line up but I wish the **** Fergie would just stick with De Gea in goals and be done with it. Surely he's Utds no 1? All this chopping and changing in goals is doing him no favours.
