Does anyone know how much it would cost to have plans prepared & a planning application submitted for a new window in an existing dwelling?

Ancillary costs, maps, planning fee, newspaper notice, etc., €250
Survey the site and building and draw that up giving you Site Layout Plan and Existing Building Details €350 (this price varies a lot)

Thanks. So is that a total of €700?

maps = €60, planning fee = €34, newspaper notice = €20, copies, travelling, phone etc = €50 approx (varies) so in Donegal you would be looking at a total of €160 - €180 approx. Newspaper notices here are cheap compared to other areas of the country.

Agreed. Depending on the complexity (and who you get) this could cost anything from €250 - €500 so 350 would be a good average.

@ Yorky. Although it is only a single window you are looking for permission for floor plans, elevations, site layout plans etc still have to be prepared. You would probably get a one or 2 bedroom extension done for pretty much the same money...well almost :)
