Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Here's the most disturbing children's picture book ever. It's called "Alfie's Home" by Richard A. Cohen. It looks like it was written and illustrated by someone on 12chan.

I did not take these pictures nor do I own the book.

    Morals of the story:

    • Don't trust your Uncle Pete
    • Only show your kid Dr. Seuss books
    • You can get out of Child Sexual Assault by crying
    • There's always a token black guy. Even in Children's picture books.

Forever will this drawing be burned into my mind:

    Oh god.

I've heard of this guy before - he reckons he can cure gayness. Even though he is gay.

He's a fucking oddball, as can clearly be seen from that book.

So it's a picture book for grown ups that tries to teach people that if they think they're gay it's only because their uncle touched them?

    Ok.

So far so crazy right-wing Christian.

I find it intriguing that after uncle peter touched the boy the therapist told the boy's father that the boy needed his father's time, TOUCH and talk! Surely the lad has been touched enough!

    Incredible.

Whilst the child abuse issue was dealt with vaguely (and you can't over complicate these things for small children) that was a completely antiquated attitude to homosexuality.

But I don't think the book is going to change anything.

If parents are subjecting their children to this material, the parents are already holding back their child's identity elsewhere and teaching them lies about being gay ; they don't need a book to do it.

So, the really relevant point about this book, imo, is that there is still a market for this material, because that's how the OP (or whoever) came across it.

Just read the Wiki link. He is an idiot. No way can you 'cure' yourself from being a homosexual. Him and his followers are living in denial.

You can through denial and self loathing, the prescription is lots of drink and empty relationships with the opposite sex and be absolutely scathing towards all other homosexuals, even beat the occasional one up.

There you go the cure for gayness.

Just in case the above is all sarcasm, gayness is not a disease and it does not need a cure just acceptance. That way it is easier for everyone.

    Totally agree.

Now we just need to cure all those "sick" sexual orientations. Like that dude who likes to make love to pavements.

I don't get that book at all. Is it supposed to be saying that his ma and da fighting allowed his paedo uncle the opportunity to abuse him and that this may have turned him into a homsexual only for a councillor to cure him? Or is he saying that being abused made him think that he was gay only for the councillor to help him come to terms with the abuse or what?

the crazy thing is - this can't be for children* - it's aimed at teens!

(it's not of course, it's aimed at no one. it's an act of well, illness.)

    beyond madness.

    * it can't be for kids because they would not be able to identify with the teenager's dilemma, not effectively. and introducing the idea of sexual abuse in this way would also be ineffective and in fact harmful. this is just pure nutterville stuff.

EDIT: JUST READ HIS BIO ON WIKI - HE WAS A MOONIE!!! LOL.

WHY DID YOU BOTHER POSTING THIS OP? LET FAR AWAY NUTTERS LIE.
