I Don't even know who most of these plebs are, I'm guessing that's a good thing though? they should move it to a beach and let CH4 show it.

Weirdest lineup ever, I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if Donna and Joe were playing.

Whatever this festival is, it's not Oxegen anyway.

its almost a wind up its that bad. gotta be a wind up.

That's exactly the kind of thing it reminded me of.

Well, It's only fitting really. The icing on the cake, or more like the strawberry on the cheese cake.

Guetta, Chase & Status and Snoop Dogg are allegedly the headliners.
DJ Fresh and Nicky Romero will be on the announced lineup too.

It seems like an expansion of the SHM gig in the Phoenix park last year. They really ought to change the name of the festival, because calling it oxegen just feels misleading.

Why are they announcing it like this? Can they not just wait till 7

They really could and should of changed the name with the break in 2012. its a piss take considering it was used to called Europe's ''favourite rock and roll festival'' .. Ah well i guess the name means money..dirty sellouts

    amazed KOL are not playing.

surely Belfast isn't their only gig on this island this summer.

Guetta at Marlay park last year was a great gig and very similar lineup

    Little or no trouble either

I think MCD will need an Army of "Unsullied" to police this event

Oxegen? Probably should rename it Farting Gas. Unreal how Sh1t this Line-Up is.

I thought Calvin Harris and Example where the headliners?
    Example isn't AFAIK.
perhaps C&S aren't headliners so, they were mentioned with the other 2 though. Snoop and Guetta would be the biggest names on the lineup, so would surely be the other headliners?

i liked the bit where Guetta turned the dial...that guy knows how to perform!!!

But yeah, saw zero trouble at that...this seems to be upping the ante with snoop and pitbull

Example headlining would be an even bigger joke

I agree there was no trouble at all but I thought his set was awful. Wouldn't see him again.

Indiependence/Forbidden Fruit/Castlepalooza etc. have taken EP's place, EP has taken Oxegen's and now Oxegen has just turned into a free for all.

Jim Carroll was right in saying that there's a market for it, but as other posters said they should just have re-named it something else and just let the festival that was Oxegen, die out.

Agreed. Oxegen started out as Witnness and rebranded when they started to change direction, so they may as well do it again.

As for the lineup, hopefully it'll free up good acts for the other festivals and keep the knackers out of Electric Picnic.

They should re-brand it cluster**** and the logo can be a syringe and a used jonnie

Was at same gig. I thought David Guetta was good-ish, but not as good as I was expecting. I got a bit bored of him tbh, I think I looked at my phone for the time at some stage wondering if it was nearly over.

But having said that Example was on before him in Marley and I thought he was actually quite good. We came away from the night thinking Example was better than Guetta at the gig. Just my opinion though! :D

Calvin Harris must be a second stage headliner. It just can't be.
