Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liege. Is this place worth going to for a day or two.
I'm based in the Dusseldorf area and want to go away for a weekend and just want to know if Liege was worth visiting.

Anywhere else worth going to within an hour or two by train from Dusseldorf. Not into any mad party place, only somewhere interesting, with a few nice bars/restaurants etc. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's a grotty industrial place but can have a lively nightlife thanks to its students. There's an area of the old town called 'The Square' which is packed with bars and is very vibrant. So it's more of a town for a night out really.

I'd say Maastricht which is just over the border in the Netherlands is a more pleasing place for a tourist.

Never been to Liege, however i have been in Maastricht and Brugge. Maastricht is nice, bit small thou. enjoyed brugge hugely, nice contrast between the old part of the city and the new part, excellent for sight seeing and shopping
