Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Loughan House absconder assaults woman

    Here we go again, a female taxi driver in Drogheda was badly assaulted at the weekend by two men, one of whom was "unlawfully at large" from Loughan House (The place cop killers get sent to, sure you all remember that case) Open Prison.
    Seems like the selection methods used to determine who gets sent there haven't changed a lot since cop killer Martin McDermott walked out of the place earlier this year.

    Just for context Garda McLoughlin was killed by the car McDermott was driving. Cop killer, to me at least, suggests armed murder.

    Cop Killer to me suggest killing a Garda, whether the weapon was a gun , a knife, or car is irrelavent.

    That place is a hotel. Known a few who were sent there and had a jolly old time.
