Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

I bought a Gaggia Evolution recently second hand for €50 which I thought was quite the bargain. Has produced some good quality coffee so far.

Only problem I have with it is the indicator light isnt working to tell me wheen the boilers at the right temperature so I generally leave it on for 20 mins before having a coffee and then hope its at the right temperature. In fairness seems to working fine and I presume the boiler is at the right temp at that stage but would like to not have to guess especially if I'm making a couple of coffees in a row.

The red one to show the power is on works fine but there should be a green one that lights up when the temp is correct.

Is there an easy fix for this like an LED light change or is it just go back to Gaggia.

I rang them a minute ago and its €70 for a service and full descale which I wouldnt mind getting done as it is second hand.
Parts that need replacing would be extra though. That said I'd imagine if its just an LED it cant cost too much.

€70 seems quite steep though. Any ideas??

    Cheers.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Gaggia/ has a wealth of information on servicing them yourself, if they don't have a guide on replacing the led i'm sure if you post someone may have the answer.
