Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Musicians wanted for jazz/swing band in Galway

    I'm a 28 year old (female) vocalist and Grade VIII pianist and I'm interested in meeting some local musicians with the goal of forming a jazz or swing ensemble similar in type to Squirrel Nut Zippers or Royal Crown Revue and hopefully to eventually perform on the burlesque circut. I'm not very experienced with forming a band but I definitely have the commitment!

    Other influences include prog rock, alternative rock, punk & grunge, opera, classical music and latin. Would be hoping to eventually branch into original songs (am working on a few atm) but would probably play covers to begin with.

    Am also interested in church singing for weddings if there are any other female singers/instrumentalists who would like to team up? I am based in Galway city.
