Can you have 2 share accounts with the credit union?

Just wondering if I have a loan attached to my share account is it possible to open another share account with my same name and address and have funds in there that I can access as the loan prevents me from accessing my shares in the account to which it is attached?

not sure what cu you are with but i was able to open a "club" account which allowed me to do what you wanted. i think the one real difference to the shares account was that you dont earn dividends or interest on it.
