Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ferdinand MOTM imo.

Delighted united got a soft penalty considering johnson tried a few dives first half(that liverpool supporters didn't mention) and since most here were arguing that shelvey should have only got a yellow, then the ref did the right thing with vp.

Agree with RVP it was no red. No more than Shelvey's. There's no consistency.

    That is the frustrating thing.

Gerrard man of the match :pac:

You have disproved your own argument! A referee should be consistent, you just admitted Halsey wasn't!

    More play acting from Evans

Liverpool fans in this thread really aren't doing anything to dispel the stereotype that they are full of delusion.

And the way UTD are playing and the way the ref is performing, doesn't do anything to dispel the fact they are Cheats, and they have the fa/ref in the back pocket.

There is the league rules, and then there is utd rules.

Mark Halsey truly deserves to be demoted down a division or two after today

Disagree with that. He's a very good ref.

He had no choice with the red card according to current interpreting of the rules.

The pen was soft but he saw Johnson lunge and Valencia fall in the act of shooting. He doesn't have replays and it was a tough call.

Wish they hadn't shown that replay.

Shelvey jumped 2 footed, studs showing over the ball.

RVP slid one foot, level with the ball.

    Geddit now?

It's so shockingly bad it's nearly hard to be angry, just bewildered. He has turned a vital game into a farce.

Yeah, it's just a disgraceful amount of incompetence in the one gig. You'd love to think he'll face consequences for his gross negligence in terms of his scheduling / pay / etc, but he won't. No consequences.

For the pen you could see at full speed Johnson make contact with reina who was no where near Valencia

Great entertainment, fair to say Liverpool were shafted with the peno decision.

    Don't write such moronic statements.

It is akin to saying - I don't care if the Ref gave us two vital decisions because we got the points.

    Thats a given.

He had a choice to apply the rules fairly. Whatever Shelvey got, Evans should have got etc.

What's the difference between a triangle and Liverpool?

    A triangle has 3 points.

They might if they keep getting fergie time, own set of ref rules and jammy cheating all year round, it won it for em 2 years ago.

    Whats the words?

Yea they should have subtitles for the chants at matches :p

Disgraceful result today - Ref was a joke! :(

Well he made the opposite choice on Evan's lunge? So he does have a choice it appears.

I'd be surprised if you could find five Liverpool fans that would call us a top four team so please stop plucking random nonsense from your ars3 in some childish attempt to have a got at Liverpool fans.

middle of the field,no signs of advantage, and 20 seconds over the time and the ref gives a free kick.

United really lucky to win, didn't deserve too. Liverpool were excellent until the sending off. Decisions were questionable especially the penalty

poor performance but happy with the 3 points

I understand people being annoyed about the red, but genuinely can't begin to understand how you wouldn't think that was a penalty. Jesus christ like, Johnson slide tackled from behind and didn't get the ball and hit the player. It's a foul clear as day, that's why none of the liverpool players were criticising it.

    Halsey is an absolute joke.
