Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys, I have an iphone 3gs 8gb with the last year and some apps wont work for me, Facebook being the prime example whether I am connected to my router or 3g, sometimes it works but its very slow. Anyone know how I could rectify this? Boards and other websites work fine on it. I havnt updated it since I got it so could this be to blame, any info much appreciated!!

Is phone on latest software, 5.1.1?
To check go to Setting, General and Software Update.
If it prompts you to update, first take a backup then update.

The latest version won't work with your iOS version. Most apps have moved on to iOS4 or later. iTunes knows your version.

If you go into Software Update on the phone, does it say you're on 5.1.1?

It says it is using software version 4.2.1 at the moment.

You should be able to update phone by using the phone itself or itunes, if this is indeed a 3GS.

If not a 3GS it won't allow you to update to later versions.
Look at the back of the phone, which one does it look like from the phones below?

    Ok, that's a 3G, not a 3GS.
This means that you won't be able to update the software higher than it currently is.
Also it means certain apps won't run properly as they may be designed for higher software or better processors - which seems so be your problem.

Make sure when installing apps they are compatible with 3G, not 3GS.
