APOY Wildlife possibles - 6

    The next round of the APOY 2012 (run by Amateur Photographer magazine) is wildlife. These are my possible entries (I have to choose 1).

    One of the robins for me, if pushed to pick one, 5 followed closely by 1, then 3.

    5 has charming character, love the selective backlighting in 1, and the framing in 3. But if I were guessing what a camera mag judge might like, maybe the framing in the third one...

    Sorry, I might not be helping :) They're all great.

    I know nothing about wildlife photography, but it's not every day you see a robin with only one foot.

    I think I would go for no. 3 Best of luck in this, I see you are 2nd. overall from last month. Well done and another good placing should put you in the lead.

    Thanks for all the feedback guys - it has helped me make my decision. In the end, I'm going to go with my own favourite :-)

    Pixbyjohn, I am so far behind 1st place (over 60 points) that I would need to be placed in the top 10 in two rounds and the current leader not even score in them - an unlikely event! And 3rd place is only 1 point behind me.

    But still, its nice to be on the leaderboard :-)

    I'd go with 2 or 3, absolutely nothing wrong with your Robin photos or any of them but they may be swamped with similiar shots of Robins and the Heron shot might have that bit more of an edge to stand out from the crowd..
