Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2 Solpadeine every couple hours and loads of water and 7up. Done.

You should do this while working. No days off for the sniffles.

 Jesus H Christ on a pushbike, you have manflu and you come onto the internet to spread it around and share the misery. Manflu's not to be messed with, so powerful it can spread electronically.

*heads to McAfee to update virus protection

Hot whiskeys with honey instead of sugar should help. (in a pint glass)
Drink enough of them, and the hangover should distract you from the flu.

Are there any support groups for men in remission from Man Flu

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,627 ✭✭✭Lawrence1895

Chinese (or was it Japanese) medicine oil, the one with peppermint in it. Boil some water in a pot, some drops of the stuff in it. Then put your head over it and inhale it :)

Man up for gods sake, there's no such thing as man flu. I thought I had a cold two weeks ago but it turned out to be a serious infection and spent all last week in hospital, don't hear me crying about it. Man flu.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,629 ✭✭✭TheBody

Perhaps some sort of mercy killing is in order here? It's for the best op.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,763 ✭✭✭DaveNoCheese

Pfffttt, manflu is a walk in the park compared to other illnesses.

Take crotchrot for example, it kills two and a half people every year, not just men. Women can get it too!!

See your local GP people, this can be avoided!!

Been manflu clear 4 years now. I still remember that day it hit me, my throat getting tighter as I struggled to breath at night, my bed soaked in sweat, an infection spreading to my eyes sealing them shut with hardened puss, constant dizziness when not lying down, no apetite. Often I would have submitted to deaths sweet release but somehow thanks to the love of my doting gf i struggled on.

Be strong OP. With are with you.

A serious warning by the affected poster, manflu can land you in hospital.
don't hear me crying about it.

Beware, you will have an urge to sob silently when manflu strikes.

Whatever you do - do not try to treat by administering the loving and sympathetic ministrations of the female sex. I notice that just makes it worse and prolongs the illness.... thus requiring even more of the above.

Yes I can think of few motivational factors to help you get better than subjecting oneself to day time TV. Thankfully we do not own a TV any more, got rid of the thing, but I have recollections of feeling sick, deciding to stay home, and then finding myself in the car going into work after all - following no more than 30 minutes of television watching. Decided I would rather die a slow death in work than spend 30 more minutes of that horror.

There is one. Sex Change. Hard to get man flu if you are not a man :) Go Science!
