    Good save by Vito!

I have to say I was worried he'd flop. Couldn't have imagined he'd be this good, especially so soon. Great signing.

I had a United fan and Chelsea fan laugh at me in work when I said I reckoned Podolski would get 20 goals for us this season, looks like I could be getting the last laugh if he keeps up this form.

Vito is great on long shots.

Good catch keeper. He'll push Szczsney all the way this season I think, but he strikes me as a very confidence player.

    Diaby doesn't look fit.

Giroud...all going a bit wrong so far :(

Arteta absolutely bursted a gut to get back there. Great to see.

Vito looking like a keeper ! Montpellier with plenty of intent, decent game this

I'm worried for Giroud, not because of his ability, but how involved the rest of our midfield let him get ,he makes some nice runs, but they are not utilising him as they can.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Really loving the workrate from Arteta. He is key to us having a good season.

Anyone else think Estrada is the spit of Joey Barton with that haircut?

He is fantastic, a real worker.

Yep he is looking very frustrated at the moment. He could have done with that shot there being on target!

Girouds first real chance at 44mins, good effort.

unlucky there by Gervinho...playing well again and unlucky

Couple of shaky moments but really impressed so far. Look very dangerous going forward.

Good pass there from Giroud to Podolski. Link up play is good.

Giroud has done well tonight imo.

Given the start we had I am happy with that half. We need to score at least one more to secure the points. Montpellier look like they have the potential to score another goal at the moment.

The way we are playing will trouble the best of teams, couple that with assistant manager Boulds defensive system, it's going to be a very good season.
Teams will be worried having to play us with all that creativity in midfield.

Happy enough so far. They haven't really threatened much. Few long range shots.

Think we've been decent. Gervinho playin really well

I'm falling in love with podolski !!

I love this new team for work rate if nothing else

Steve Bould must be commanding some respect from the lads, that he can change every players work rate so easily with hardly any transition.

Giroud has done well tonight imo.

His movement is fantastic. Only a matter of time before he gets his name on the scoresheet.

I'm worried because he doesn't really look arsed tbh. When he's involved he's happy to run around. But when the balls not near him he doesn't look like he gives a fúck. He's only chased back once that I can remember and has been quite poor putting pressure on their CB's.

He has linked up well quite a few times, but Chamakh ended up looking quite the same, so it may be frustrating for players who rely on balls in certain situations that allow you to use your physical strength to open up the defence and sadly, the boys are at times bypassing him, like with Chamakh.
I hope Giroud has more in his locker in that sense to adapt.

Mertezacker is simply a brilliant defender. Reads the game very well and his passing is brilliant. Very cool player.

Diaby is being very complacent at the moment in dangerous areas.

Cazorla using his head, retaining possession, lovely stuff.

    They're demolishing us right now.

We're asleep at the moment. So far we are getting away with it!

Subs time I think, fresh legs and ideas needed, bit complacent at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

That was a bit to close for comfort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,571 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

We've been poison so far in this half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭shano_88

That would have been some goal there. Under a lot of pressure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Unlucky from Montpellier there - we're being dominated at the moment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

There's a goal coming for them unless we change something.

Gibbs lucky not to get a yellow for that challenge...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Some run from Diaby - a joy to watch when he does that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,058 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

We'll score again soon. I can feel it in my water.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Gervinho has gone off the boil this half. I'd put Walcott on in his place and let Theo run at the Montpellier Defense!

Should take Diaby off too, just to be careful in terms of picking up another yellow.

Giroud should have done better there had pleny of space to turn and shoot.
