    Is there enough performance/extra warranty to justify the price of the black?
    Which would you pick?
    All are 1TB WD HDDs

    Isn't red designed for NAS?

    Green has slow speeds but is cheap and quiet, blue is average all round, and black is fast, but noisy and expensive. I'd opt for the blue personally.
