Campervans in the USA

6 Friends and myself are thinking about doing a fly drive trip next sep/oct to California and Nevada using a rented Campervan
After looking am i right in thinking there's no restriction on the size or weight of what we can rent on a normal Irish B license ?
Or would we have to have a C/D for the larger ones ?

Irish B licence is only up to 3.5 tonnes, my 79 Chevy G30 van class B campervan (picture the A team van with a high top) is 3.3 tonnes.
There is a US rebadged version of the long Mercedes van I'd say that would probably be your limit. The BIG american slide out side RVs will be too heavy.

How much is an Irish C license good for? just wondering

A category C licence is for any goods vehicle over 3500kgs not sure of max weight
