Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

nani put Scholes under unnecessary pressure there tbf. Poorly controlled a pass then played one to Scholes where he was blind. Scholes has looked off the pace generally, though.

That should have been a free and a yellow for Carrick, lucky. Lads looking complacent all over the pitch.

Great pressure from Carrick - unlike bloody Evans

Dunno what Kagawa was trying to do there

    Fergie doesnt look too impressed!

Fergie headin in a minute early to plug in the babalys

United very rough around the edges here, players unsure of their positions. Least we're winning though.

Needs to improve in the second half.

Carrick has been excellent, Kagawa and Valencia decent. That's it, really. The problem with the amount of rotation Fergie is doing is that the players seem a bit unsure of each other. Only Carrick and Vidic have been ever present this year, and even then Carrick played a couple at the back.

Dunno how some Galatastaray fans are shirtless, I needed to switch all the radiators back on here!

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Started great but since opening 15 minutes its been all Galatasaray who have taken control and made some good chances,Utd have been lucky they havent taken one yet, hopefully SAF will remind them once more at half time what happened in last years CL and gets the hairdryer out

Been so poor so far. Evra has been rubbish and falling asleep again.

They should of had Peno too. Whats point in this 5th ref on side if they cant give that.

Just hope they save best for 2nd half.

Its going all too like last season for my liking.

Little distressed at how relaxed the team have been, its a pretty strong ****ing team like!

Kagawa has looked quite lively, Carrick has been more good then bad, Valencia and Nani both underperforming, Van Persie is a little isolated, Scholes is a passenger, but we winning at least

    Fair play to Carrick.

With all the talk about diving, players who do what Carrick did deserve to be praised.

He could have lay down and the Goalkeeper would have been sent off.

United lucky not to give away 2 penalties, and seem to have switched off in the last 20 minutes.

Evra seems a bit off the pace.

Ref has made some dodgy decisions on both sides.

Nani and Scholes are giving the ball away too easily, Evra's corner is the focus of their attacks. Kagawa looking lively, but it's turning into a typical United preformance; 1-0 and we're laying back as if the second goal will create itself.

Wouldn't say Nani and Valencia are under performing, just not used to the formation yet and keep trying to play balls that are suited to 2 out and out strikers and not linking up with Kags when he comes deep, which has been doing my head in a lot this season.

Talking to the boss at half time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Does Carrick staying on his feet and scoring, whilst simultaneously seeing his team being effectively penalised by playing against 11 instead of 10 provide an argument for those who see no issue with drawing fouls and going down easily?

Sexy interplay with Nani and Kagawa, they could be super together they both have the ability to be so quick, mentally and physically

Great play from Nani & Kagawa there, credit too for the saving tackle that saved the Turks

Very isolated alright, in this system he will be unless United actually start to control possession. Comes back to the midfield sadly

My god whealan is an idiot. Once the gslatasaray player realized they were giving it back he held his hand up. He didn't mis control it.

So we have missed more penalties then we have scored this year yes?

    ****ing shocking penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Lol, after all that, he gives a less obvious one.

But its fairly clearly a penalty.

Missed! What is Nani at? He's had 3 shoking minutes.

Were you in favour of taking RVP off when he had his joke of a penalty saved?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,929 ✭✭✭JaMarcus Hustle

    6 penalties in a row we've missed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

Nani creates the space to the left of the keeper then puts the ball into the keepers diving path..... A true clown.
