'Dealz' which is another form of a poundshop is due to open in the former Penneys outlet in the old Dundrum Shopping Centre.

They have opened in Stillorgan Shopping Centre recently too. There was an interesting programme on BBC(?) this week about Poundland, which owns Dealz. While they carry a reasonable amouunt of branded stock, they also carry about 40 brands, which are in fact their own brands - they just use a variety of brand names to hide this..

They did a safety test on a child's octopus toy, which was far from safe. It was removed from the shelves in the UK, hopefully it is not being dumped on shelves over here...

I would say a few more weeks. They were finishing off the flooring early this week. A lot of retail businesses have a target of end of October to get open by to catch the lucrative Christmas trade.
