i put about 72 hours into the game before i completed it i enjoyed it a lot killed all the dragons and collected all the shards i think the loot could have been a lot better for those.

I still have plenty of side quests to do but i really hope they do a expansion pack at some point

    Fixed a loot exploit.
From what I can tell this is the amulet of power exploit in Crestwood not the high level loot re-roll.

[*]Fixed the Charging Bull ability so that AI-controlled characters no longer overshoot their target.

Finally. Won't have to immediately turn it off now.

It does. The amulet isn't in the chest any more, it's on the ground next to it.

Seems that there is a trailer for the first dlc add on out tomorrow called The Jaws of Hakkon for PC and Xbox One. No mention of when the other platforms will get it.

There are strong rumours that it actually releases tomorrow. The wife is beside herself!

It's out .... and she'll be beside herself alright 14.99

It has 4 achievements, which either means it's really short or it's just an uninspired list of achievements

It seems to be hefty in terms of content and the actual plot is unexpected but very interesting.
You play as the last inquisitor and your deeds open up new discoveries in your current inquisitors game.

One of the achievements made it sound like you might get more on
    Solas
and the end game revelations or at least the motivations behind them.

I don't think it is possible - but does anyone know if it is possible to equip a melee & a ranged weapon and switch between them during combat ?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,183 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

You can't swap equipment during combat from what i remember.

    Can anybody help me here?,
This is my first time ever playing a DA game so I'm clueless, I'm playing DA:I on PS4 and started off as a Warrior/Two-Handed thinking that the two handed would allow me to hold two swords, turns out its to use two hand to hold a big sword lol which I hate. Is there anyway I can change to Sword & Shield? Without creating a new game or does the whole ability thing only matter in to which I spend my points on?

There's an item for sale in the blacksmiths that removes all your abilities, including the ones you start with, and lets you spend the points again. The first one only costs 1 gold.

So it doesn't matter which one i started off with, only which ones I put my ability points to?

You can't change completely (i.e Mage to Warrior), but can can respec within the class whenever you want.

You can't change your specialisation though.

I know I can't change class completely, I'm on about my abilities, like I started off as a Two Handed but want to change to a Weapon and Shield, can I do that by resetting my points and just buy W&S abilities from now on?

Yeah. I did just that on my third character because two handed swords were too crap.

I just started this today and I find it seriously difficult, even on the regular setting. Admittedly I'm not used to RPGs, but I feel like I've a long road ahead of me at this rate.

The Black Emporium DLC makes this game ridiculously easy. The schematics are a little on the expensive side but on my latest game by the time I'd gotten to Skyhold, having not done much else besides the Hinterlands, I had a masterworked longsword that does 199 damage (about 230 dps) not including runes.

I've decided to get this.... in a few months. In the mean time, I've started on Dragon Age: Origins

So, about seven months, four games, and 201 hours in game, I've finally finished all of Dragon Age. There's a few DLC that I've missed out on, but at this stage, I think I'm all Dragoned out, to be honest.

Really enjoyed them, was funny experiencing the differences between the games.

What were the four games or are you counting DLC? I know there's Origins, 2, Inquisition, but I can't think of the other one I'm missing.

I'd saw Awakenings. It's DLC, but it's pretty hefty DLC.

    Counting Awakening as separate maybe.

Awakening was separate in my count, as it was about twenty hours on its own. The smaller DLC I left out.

Ahh. OK. Completely forgot about Awakenings. Point taken about it being an individual game as opposed to a DLC.

Awakening played a bit differently than Origins too, it was not a copy and paste DLC at all which was a bit odd but good.
