I doubt you could have made more useless poll options if you were trying. The results will only show that there are more males than females on boards ... or possibly that people lie.

Nothing against cats though I prefer dogs to be honest. Cats are pets for people who don't want the hassle of actually taking care of their pet that much. Though I can definitely see the upside to that.

Dogs are great but christ they need almost constant attention, especially the smaller breeds.

Cats are fine, they're cute. I've a few strays near me, feed them ham or chicken leftovers, all is good, except for their stare and claws. They've no manners, I eat my dinner, they eye it and you are just an inconvenience in their way of food.

It does seem to be in Ireland.
My husband's English and loves cats, but even he told me that whenever he talks to colleagues about owning 4 of them, he gets odd looks and even odder comments.

That said, our most recent little foundling was adopted by an Irish bloke, and I know he adores her

I can't agree or disagree first hand, but I can share what my German grandfather told me : During and after the war, people in Germany would eat cats. Apparently, once skinned they look exactly like rabbits, and taste pretty much the same, too.
He said the few people who tried eating dogs never tried it again it was so vile. Apparently, even Koreans will tell you that you need to marinate and season dog meat enough so that you can't taste the actual meat any more....
