Hi, Are all your branches going to start refusing cash lodgements over the counter shortly? I had a very rude woman in Tallaght branch telling me off for not having a bank account as i queued to get to the counter to make a lodgement. She said after a certain date i cant make a lodgement into a BOI account anymore. Is this…

Thanks for your query.

Payments may still be lodged into your current account by another person in any of our bank branches. Apologies if this did not happen in your case.
However, if the payment was being made into your credit card account, it's no longer possible to lodge funds in this way. Credit card payments can be made through Banking365, at an ATM or by direct debit.

To have two cards issued on the one account, you would need to open a joint account. Please contact your bank branch for more information.
