Using Quasi differential noise cancelling technology and Audiophile quality buffered outputs, the iD50 will enhance the sound of your stored music. Music is clearer and more precise than ordinary iPod docks.

The Cambridge Audio iD50 also enables you to watch video content stored on your iPod, on your TV. A choice of composite or S-video connections let you output the video signal and also supply the feed to an onscreen display. As you'd expect, the iD50 is compatible with most Cambridge Audio Navigator remote controls and also comes with its own comprehensive remote.

The classic black finish has been designed to match not just the latest Classic iPods, put also the Cambridge Azur hi-fi range.

    9. Cambridge Audio ID100 - iPad / iPod Dock

    showimage.php?image=308453.jpg&max_width=300&max_height=260id100pic2.jpg&gallery=true&max_width=555&max_height=555

For audiophile sound quality from your iPhone, iPod or iPad, check out the impressive Cambridge Audio iD100 iPad dock. Slightly larger than the usual dock, the iD100 has the physical stature to comfortably support an iPad. Finally, you're now able to access all the stored music and video on your iPad in the highest quality possible and whilst it's being charged and conveniently sited.

In addition to accommodating just about any portable Apple iProduct, the iD100 is one of the best sounding docks in its class. One of the reasons for this is the digital output. Rather than using the DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) that's built into the player, the iD100 taps into the digital output and streams it straight to your separate DAC (such as the matching Cambridge Audio DacMagic 2) or AV receiver with digital input. Put simply, the better the quality of your DAC, the better the sound quality. As you'd expect from top hi-fi manufacturer's, Cambridge Audio, the high quality, low jitter digital output extracts the very best digital signal quality. The resulting sound has far greater depth and sense of realism than other analogue docks.

The professional thoroughness of the design extends to the generous and comprehensive socketry, too. In addition to a choice of coaxial or optical digital outputs, there's also an XLR balanced output for connection to professional audio equipment and the very best in home hi-fi. Added to this is a Type-B USB socket that allows convenient and simple syncing to iTunes. Cambridge Audio hasn't forgotten about video with this digital iPad dock, either. A switchable video socket lets you choose between component, SVHS and composite signals.

Finishing off this highly specced iPod digital dock is a comprehensive remote control. Should you already happen to have a Cambridge Audio amp or receiver, then there's a good chance that its remote control will also operate the ID100.

Retail is £149.95 I'll release a few at just £119.95

    12. CAMBRIDGE AUDIO DACMAGIC PLUS

The Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus does the seemingly impossible and improves upon a legend -With a raft of improvements the Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus is still the best way of improving the sound from your hi-fi, AV system, PC, laptop and now, even your headphones!

The purpose behind the DacMagic Plus is simple: to make your music sound better, whatever the digital source. For this reason, the DacMagic Plus is now attuned to more of your music sources than ever. As before, you can plug in your Blu-ray, DVD or CD player via optical or coaxial connections (there are two of each) and enjoy up-sampled music quality that's ahead of what you'd expect from CD. The USB connection for your computer is still there but on the latest DacMagic it now supports 24-bit transfer for "better than CD quality". This means that music files stored on your PC, laptop or NAS drive in top 24/192 quality can be streamed, uncompressed, through the DacMagic Plus and enhanced by its Digital to Analogue Conversion.

One of the most exciting features about the Plus model is the option of being able to stream music from your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. With the optional BT100 audio receiver connected, simply link up via high quality apt-X or standard Bluetooth and stream your stored or streaming tunes from your device to the DacMagic and on into your hi-fi. At last, convenience meets quality! In this respect, the DacMagic Plus starts spectacularly well with highest quality digital circuitry possible at its price. Twin Wolfson WM8740 DACs, implemented in a dual differential mode are complemented by a new Anagram Technologies AFT2 24 bit/384 kHz up-sampling circuit. Up-sampling conventional CD "stretches" the format to give the highest resolution possible. It also aids standard 24-bit/192kHz recordings with a faster sampling rate for less jitter. Up-sampling sound gives a smoother, more relaxed sound quality with added detail. You'll also notice enhanced depth of sound and a more natural quality without the "edge" that can afflict digital music. You'll hear every detail, including the odd cough, squeaky chair and flutter of sheet music; in short, it's like being there for real!

Not content with producing the best sounding DAC in its class, Cambridge Audio have added a few extras that make the Plus so much more than just a DAC. First off, the DacMagic Plus comes with a dedicated headphone amp and volume control. Much higher quality than a standard headphone socket, this is truly the way to go for fans of cans. More revealing, more dynamic and with less noise, the headphone output gives your cans a whole new lease of life. In addition to this, the DacMagic Plus comes with a new digital pre-amp function. Combined with the volume control you can now connect directly to active speakers or a power amp for a shorter signal path and superior sound quality.

    Retail is £349.95 I'll release a few at just £269.95 £80 off!
