Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The teacher unions are doing nothing for teachers old or new, the TUI is too busy with infighting to work on its members behalf. their new president came out of left field to challenge their vp and won. he now has to deliver on the spurious promises he delivered while on the campaign, so far no good

    According to who?

It is well known that the current president was a latecomer to the race and won the contest. Where is the evidence that there is any infighting now?

The title of the thread and your introductory sentence suggest that there is infighting in all teacher unions.

What is your point? There we always differences of opinion in organisations, hardly infighting.

Not quite sure where you are going with this. I doubt TUI members who might know what you are talking about (and I don't include myself in that despite having been an officer for many years) are going to discuss it on a public forum.

I suggest you bring whatever the issue is up at your next Branch meeting.

What amazes me is the TUI and their interest in the differences between existing staff and new starters.

They weren't to worried about this in 1999 when the agreed the Assistant Lecturer Scale. (In the Institutes of Technology).
