    Hi,
    Has anyone ever heard of the surname Magrough? Is it a version of McGragth? Or even a priests attempt to spell it?

    No help to you but I have McGourty in my tree and it is spelt all sorts of ways, Magorty, Magourty...

    Another possibility is McGraw, which I believe is related to McGrath.

    Ive just seen another attempt at the same ancestors name and its Magrath!
