Lads have just noticed a load of dampness in my mothers house. Its basically on the gable end?, the side wall of the house. From what ive seen so far, the dampness is running the length of the kitchen,10 feet or so, and is from 5 foot all the way down to the floor. Just asking any ideas, because i haven't a clue where to start or what to do???:(

    Thanks

Wazzer -how old is the building?
    - do you know what walls are made of ie:cavity block,hollow block,stone,mass concrete,etc ?
    - what is on other side of damp gable wall? [eg: concrete path, soil, another bulidiing etc].
