Anyone know this church in waterford?

Hello all. I'm writing a project using old photos. I can't seem to identify this church which is supposed to be in Waterford around 1900(it's from the laurence o'connor 'lostireland' collection if you're interested)...

It looks like the front of the Cathedral on Barronstrand street (the side road gives it away) - there used to be railings in front of it years ago (before my time though )

but this one is triangular.

I thought it might be the Dominican church on Bridge street, but not so either. In that case, pillars on either side and flutings from the round window over the door should be visible but are completely absent. http://www.flickr.com/photos/23296461@N04/2482593087/
Great to get a reply so soon though. Any other ideas?

Actually the top of the door matches that of the Friary down by Lady Lane - could be it?

Its the cathedral, some changes have been made to the exterior of the cathedral since this picture was taken. The alley down the side confirms it. The corner of the building is different in the friar photo.

Agreed - my initial feeling was the Cathedral - the whole front facade of the building has changed over the years... just thought the Friary was similar, but it couldn't be the friary - lady lane doesn't slope away like that.
