Anyone interested in going halves (or thirds! ) on a delivery of good quality hardwood blocks for the winter? 8 bags or more is €50 per bag. You can see the pictures of the size of bag on the ad.

I just rang this man in Wexford. All sounds good. They have Ash at the moment and will have beech or oak.

Ideal supply for a stove for the winter. We've been keeping a close eye on prices on the done deal and these are excellent value.

However the delivery charge from wexford to Limerick is €250. He said he'll go to €190 if I can get someone else to order with me. Still sounds like a good deal to me.

Anyone interested? If so contact the vendor in Wexford and let me know too so as I can go ahead with my order:D

Builders bag / Ton bag / Dumpy bag of logs
A builders bag is a convenient method of delivering firewood as it is relatively easy to handle for both the seller and buyer. A builders bag also provides any easy way to visualise the quantity of wood that is for sale. Please remember that a builders bag is not a ton of wood and it is not a cubic meter of wood (probably around 0.6 m3) and don't let anyone tell you any different!

Plus , if you buy seasoned hardwood , make sure you are delivered seasoned hardwood.

The bag you see in photo is a tonne bag , if it was full of fertiliser , but not a tonne of wood .

we sell fresh ash in lengths @ €60 per ton ex roadside

as you correctly state there is no way that those bags will contain a ton of seasoned hard wood

Lot's of people advertising firewood for sale in Local newspapers. I would be reluctant to buy until I see that it is hardwood and a year or so old.
Fortunately I cut my own firewood.
