James Croft has won the US F-TR Nationals. He was running the Berger 200gr Hybrids.

Which would you choose, the 155gr or the increasingly popular 185/200gr Hybrids?

Congrats to the new F-Class National Champions: David Bailey (F-Open) and James Crofts (F-TR). Bailey amassed a 1283-59X score to edge F-Open runner-up Bob Sebold (1282-59X) by a single point. Note that Jim and Bob, both AccurateShooter Forum members, had the same X-count. Bob’s excellent X-count placed him ahead of Jim Murphy (1282-50X), who captured third place along with F-Open High Senior Title. High Lady Shooter was Michelle Gallagher with a 1274-51, while Danny Biggs, a past National Champion, was High Senior with 1273-46X.

Showed it today aswell. 155s were running with 5.5-6 moa of wind. The 185s were running with 2.5-2.75 moa in the same conditions. The 155s were being blown out to 4, and sometimes 3s. The 185s held v's, and 5s with a bad drift out to 4 one one occasion.

This is very true..155 had very bad drifts out to 4s and 3s on quite a few occasions and with wind so changable was very difficult to stay in and round the 5..very impressed with 185s on this occasion..at 24 power to..

I don't chrono my rounds. I test fire at 1,000 yards until i get the result i want.

Interesting to note a 185g hybrid running at 2820 fps will take approx 4 moa less elevation than a 200g hybrid at 2600 fps at 800y but both bullets show identical wind moa acording to jbm, found the 185g vlds exellent with my 308 and cant wait to try out the 185 hybrids.

As with my thread on flat base bullets vs boat tail i found the BC over estimating the amount of adjustment needed for the 185 Hybrids. By an MOA or so at 800 yards.

Pointing the hybrids should also shave another moa.
