Well gents its getting towards the business end of things now. Not much standing out tonight, perhaps a Kvitova and Azarenka double? I'm a big fan of Halep but she can be flaky and her serve is very week. If she is not getting her 1st serve in consistently, Azarenka will demolish her second serve.

fed shouldn't have much trouble either but perhaps Anderson can keep the magic going against Stan? This year he has only been beaten by the best -- Gasquet in France, Nadal in Oz and Djoko in Wimbledon when he had him on the ropes. I think he is serving brilliantly and his rallying is improving a lot. If a long season finally catches up on Stan, he could be able to pull it out of the bag

never seen as many errors from a player as azarenka yesterday. she must be kicking herself. considering a small punt on pennetta at 11/4. halep played well yesterday but it was more azarenka losing it than her winning it. anyways small bet for me.

such a pity the rain is making a mess of everything. at least the wheelchair and the doubles are getting some coverage though which is nice for them.

I've checked up beforehand on players who beat Serena. First set is going to be very tight, maybe 6-7. All the pressure is on Penneta.
Very likely she loses the first set and settles into the match.
