Okay, hey! I'm looking at buying a laptop with a Nvidea GeForce GT 630M Graphics Card (1GB), the laptop has 8GB RAM should that make a difference.

I've been looking at games on Steam, and I keep worrying the specs can't handle it. The RAM is okay, but the Graphics gets me confused.

Take Dead Rising 2, for example. It requires "NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better". Is the GT 630M better? This reaaaaaly confuses me, tbh.

http://systemrequirementslab.com will tell you if the system you're currently on can run a title.

You can also google the laptop video benchmarks. Even googling the graphics card would tell you that the 8800 is older than your boards.ie ID by a good stretch.

I've read before that that particular website tends to be highly inaccurate...

So going by that, the GT 630M is better?

Inaccurate how? It will show you detailed pass/fail conditions. You can use best judgement to determine whats true or not. For instance it will give a fail to an intel hd4000 chip on most games even though it has the right technologies in the chipset to run the game - just keep in mind it will run like crap compared to an actual card.

If you scroll down you'll see your card benchmarked in a few games. It's better than the Intel hd 4000 by a large enough margin to warrant it's existence.
