I'm with Vodafone, i had the 8mb package but decided to take a chance on their Max Value Broadband package. My stats before and after upgrade:

    Before Upgrade:
    Upstream Downstream
    CurrRate(kbps) 828 8128
    MaxRate(kbps) 1100 16172
    NoiseMargin(dB) 14.2 18.6
    Attenuation(dB) 32.0 16.6
    Power(dBm) 12.8 0.0

    After upgrade:
    Upstream Downstream
    CurrRate(kbps) 1020 10239
    MaxRate(kbps) 1116 16572
    NoiseMargin(dB) 9.5 14.3
    Attenuation(dB) 32.0 12.8
    Power(dBm) 12.8 0.0

^ while i am pleased with the upstream of 1mb i'm lost as to why the downstream is sooo poor?

As you can see my line is capable of 16mb....if anything my stats show an increase in downstream to 16.5mb?

Voda/Eircom set a profile of 10.2mb....can anyone take a look at the stats, what's stoping say a 12mb or even 15mb profile?

    Thanks in advance :)
