Take a closer look at the shadow on her right leg, coming from the top of her leg, down to her knee.

"Please don't kill my friend and me" is correct. Remove the friend, you wouldn't say "Please don't kill I" as it's not in the nominative case.

Yep, both instances are legit. If you remove "my friend and", you are left with: "(...) I don't want to go to your camp!" and "Please don't kill (...) me!".

    Tis all good :)

I think the Luas is blocked by the Micra. Would be really embarrassing for the driver to walk out of the porn shop in front of everyone on the Luas.

Is it just me, or are those captcha "jokes" in YLYL not even a little bit funny? They are as crap as the dolan cartoons.

I thought the first post with them was hilarious. Then the next one or two were funny enough. But now they're getting old really quickly.

My thoughts exactly. They've been all over the place the past few days and they're getting very old, very quickly.
I get the feeling a lot of them are faked as well (as in not real captchas, just two random words someone picked) which makes them all the less amusing.

Were initially funny, not anymore. How about putting them in their separate thread?

Oh FGS, not this "let's give them their own thread" crap again. Everyone has a different sense of humour, there are plenty of posts in that thread that I think are absolutely shit, but I'm not going to complain about them. I just scroll past and don't thank them.

Please, please, please.... I know humour is a personal thing, but it's like a 5 year old telling his favourite joke over and over again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 58,456 ✭✭✭✭ibarelycare

Both rage comics and Dolan comics already have their own separate threads. If some people had their way then there would be separate threads for every single type of funny picture. The thread is called You Laugh You Lose. If you don't like the Captcha comics, then congratulations, you won!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,414 ✭✭✭✭Penn

The Captcha comics are a passing fad. There'll be a lot of them for two or three weeks, then just a few of them, then an occasional reappearance. The only reason Dolan got a separate thread was because it's a far more specialised form of humour and extremely weird for the most part.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 22,408 CMod ✭✭✭✭Pawwed Rig

How about a separate Nicholas Cage thread. He really annoys me;)

I dont think anyone has a problem with the variety of humour on YLYL, in fact that's what makes it so great. People get annoyed when one type of humour takes over and you end up just scrolling through endless pages of the same thing. That's why Rage comics were given their own thread and that's why idiots who think a cat pulling a "hilarious" face is just the pinnacle of humour should be given their own thread as well.
The captchas are hit and miss, getting old quickly, and will soon pass.

The dog looks all concerned for the lamb. That's the joke. it's yet another "hilarious" picture of an animal pulling a face. For countless other examples of same see YLYL

Id like to point out two misleading statements in the below tirade.

    1) It's the general consensus amongst historians that the pyramids were built by free men.

    2) Whilst there is a reasonably high suicide rate in the Foxconn (et al.) factories in China, per capita the suicide rate is lower than China as a whole (not defending that company, but putting it in the correct context.)

Not to mention the fact that, true, or not so true - It's not remotely funny - Depressing, if any of it is based on some truth, yes, funny - Nope!

Agreed, how about you report the ones that I don't find funny, inform the mods and they'll delete them before I see them. Thanks in advance.
