These sort of posts in YLYL bug me, as they are clearly not funny in anyway. They should be somewhere like the life hacking forum, but that would mean less thanks.

I was going to flag them but will a mod even remove them? Thanks whoring should be against the rules of YLYL (when it comes to these clearly unfunny pics)

I tried it before. It's kinda heavy so maybe ease up on the cocoa powder a touch?

Are they hard(ish) or is it like a shell on a Thick Hot Chocolate? - Tempted... :D

So just a single tablespoon of cocoa?

    1 Tablespoon in the US = 0.83 tablespoons U.K.

It's been awhile, but I think I remember the outside being hard, but the inside was soft and spongy.

    Maybe 1.5 instead.
Also, the part in the recipe that says the ice-cream is optional is bull! Definitely have ice-cream with it.

Just made the Brownie in a Mug with a pinch of Cinnamon. It was good!!, but huge portions.. I'd half it and make a brownie in a cup. My Nephew loved it too, but his was the experimental one, and a bit 'duller' (Tasted more dry/cocoa-ish.)
I wasn't expecting it to have the texture as well as it did. :) Well worth doing :D

EDIT. I think more cinnamon than a 'pinch' makes it better.

Looks like Schrodinger's equation. You may know it from such lessons as Quantum Mechanics... Ahem.

On a lighter note, it seems that mods may be starting to clamp down on unfunny posts:

The Sheldon one with Simba is a running joke in 'The Big Bang Theory' about him having a fit when someone takes his spot on the couch etc.

Haven't a clue about the others.

    None are funny imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,741 ✭✭✭Mousewar

1st one: Don't know. Doctor Who reference?
2nd One: Character from Big Bang Theory who always says 'You're in my spot' when someone sits in his favourite chair. Here brought to an extreme of him saying it to the Lion from the Lion King on the special Lion podium for special Lion announcements. (Not really funny)
3rd One: I think Cyanide and Happiness is actually just trying to be serious with this one. Don't do drugs.
4th One: Bottom of the ad is probably legitimate. Paying a potential customers termination fees to a rival company is what a mobile phone provider might do to attract someone. So they just stuck a picture of a woman finding out she's pregnant on top to tie in with the termination theme.

First one is indeed Who reference. I'm guessing it's a joke on the Doctor regenerating his organs.

Third one I would see as C&H taking the piss out of anti-drug ads, as they are talking about chugging out of a smoking device and the whole thing smacks of anti-drug hysteria, which I don't think the C&H guys would get behind.

When he regenerated at Christmas, his first line was "Kidneys! I've got new kidneys! I don't like the colour..."

So I'm guessing with Peter Capaldi being the Doctor now, the pic is about what Malcolm Tucker would have said.

I'm pretty sure the chain (not a blade) moves a bit while idling. Been a while since I used one

'Hadouken' is what Ryu says in Street Fighter when he makes a fireball. This comic is annoying and not funny as a real video game nerd would probably say 'Shoryken!' as the dragon punch is closer to what the guy is doing in that comic

He might have meant to do a Hadouken fireball and then f*cked up the d-pad roll and just ended up with a punch.

Or maybe I'm reading to much into this :D

Why is the name intentionally removed? If it's in a paper, it's public knowledge. Why not remove the author's name?

Grimebox goes into a shop and buys a chainsaw. Two weeks later he returns the chainsaw and says to the shop assistant: "2 weeks ago I bought this chainsaw and you said that it would chop down 50 trees in an hour. I can only manage 2 trees."

The shop assistant says, "let me see", and starts the machine up. BRRRRRR!!!

Grimebox jumps back in surprise and says "what's that noise?!?"

    :pac:

Perhaps, But even then it wouldn't be a ken or Ryu style punch which is straight forward, not a hook.

Also I see you use bannededed which I'm assuming is some attempt at humour I'm missing

Just sounded funny. I literally can't offer any explanation other than that.

I assume he meant warning ed or "Warning Ed", which is what the film "Warning shot" starring Ed Begley is affectionately known as to fans.

    Right?

    Incorrect gandalf quote
    20460d1304843137-elf-clan-leaves-second-life-elrond_facepalm.jpg

Not quite. Yes it's the incorrect line, but it's also the line that was said in the original theatrical release, it was later replaced with the correct line "fly, you fools". Although the line is wrong, the quote is accurate.
