Waste treatment plant

    Hi
    We have a waste treatment plant with a raised percolation area in a 4 bed houase with 2 people living there. THe waste treatment plant is turned in all the time. I don't think that we need to have it running all the time as there are only 2 of us in the house.
    Would it cause any damage to the treatment palnt to put it on a timer and have it come on for a few hours every day or turn it off for so many days at a time?

    i wouldnt chance it without consulting supplier
    it might be a problem if the unit cant pump to percolation area and the level in unit rises
