Solid Fuel Stove with boiler (Loss of heat due to boiler)

Hi all,

My parent are going to buy a Solid Fuel boiler stove to heat the main sitting room and also as a back up to heat the radiators in the house. this is a backup to the oil range which usually heats the radiators and there is also existing pipework in place!

On the Stanley website. It shows that there is a loss of heat output to the room due the the boiler in the stove. This reduces the heat output to the room buy 3/4 from 8kW to 2kW. I'm just wondering how this is the case?!

Is the presence of the boiler in the stove really going to reduce the heat output to the room by this amount?!

All too often, people who buy stoves with boilers are disappointed with the level of heat that is given off to the room, though seldom will anyone admit to it,
This being more the case in the bigger stoves, as the circuit is longer, and the water is coming back at a much reduced temperature,
The constant flow of water from within the boiler, with draw the heat first, with the surplus if any, given to the room........
