pushmail not working on iphone 4s

hi guys

since i updated to ios6 my push mail has stopped working.
before i updated any email would come through almost instantly !!
now i only get mail when i open the mail app.. its like its set on manual , but "fetch new data" is set to on/push

fetch is set to - manually
in advanced , my gmail and yahoo accounts only have "fetch" and "manual" settings , yet icloud has "push" , "fetch" and "manual".. i dont even use icloud so that doesnt matter...

any help appreciated

I have the same issue. iCloud and Exchange used to come through automatically but not any more since updating.

Also another thing I noticed is when I open the mail app I get notifications for the mails coming in. That didnt happen before either and is rather pointless seeing as I am in the app.

Firstly, try deleting the account(s) and re-adding. This worked for me in the past.

Don't think Gmail ever had the push option? Don't know about Yahoo though.

Gmail definitely had push if it was set up as an exchange account

This happens me a lot with my gmail and yahoo email accounts.
I find that rebooting the phone works.
Not sure if its an IOS6 issue as it has happened mquite a bit on IOS5.

I think it may be server issue with Yahoo themselves .

For now download the native Gmail app, that'll keep you going until it's resolved. No idea what's going on, push is working fine on my 4s after update.

i deleted the yahoo account and reinstalled , but no difference.
the gamail is my second account so it wouldnt bother me too much if i had to check that manually..
i need the yahoo account to push though , it worked perfect since i got the phone 6 months ago , right up until ios6 update..

whats exchange i never done any of that before !!?? or how do i do it ?
