    Hi,
We are doing a 500km cycle for 1Life suicide awareness from Westport to Dublin on this Saturday and back to Westport from Dublin on the Sunday.

Departing @ 7am on both days, we will expect to be in the saddle for up to 11 hours including breaks, would anyone be able to give us some decent weather outlook please :D

    Thanks v much
    Aidan

At this point it's safe to say it will rain at some point :D

But seriously. There's a front coming over us at the weekend, trouble will be 'when' exactly. Indications are possibly Saturday afternoon onwards will be a downward trend. Hopefully though the rain will start and finish through Saturday night/Sunday morning. Doesn't look like it will be heavy at this point.

Definitely milder than it has been lately mind you. Mid teens everywhere.

According to M.E. at the moment,,it looks ok for Saturday...

Sunday will be the day to avoid...But it could still be a bit early to be accurate.

    3 Day Outlook
Friday will be a blustery showery day with highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees. Most of the showers will be in the afternoon with good sunny spells in many places during the morning. Westerly winds will then to be blustery in and around the showers. The showers will largely die out Friday night and it will be a clear and cool night. Saturday will be generally dry and bright with good sunny spells. The day will still be quite breezy but it wont be as windy as Friday. Heavy rain spreads across the country on Sunday morning and again it will be windy with strong southerly winds. The weather will clear in the west of the country on Sunday afternoon but the clearance wont reach the east coast until evening time. Monday will be largely dry with some spells of sunshine and temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees, and it will turn out to be a fairly good day. However it will be much more unsettled through the mid-week period with heavy showers and longer spells of rain.

Keep an eye on the charts here to have an idea when the rain will arrive & clear, Saturday looks fine but as mentioned there's a front due to pass over us on Sunday morning, doesn't look particularly heavy but you could end up being under it for most of the day

Slight - NW ... Then veering northerly and then Easterly into sunday as a weak low passes to the north..

at last temps will get back to normal or even above early next week as whats left of Nadine pumps some nice Tm air our way. :) ME says 18c but a 20c is possible in the Dublin area in sunshine.
I'd rather not to have the heating on yet with the extortionate price of gas these days.

With regards the weekend weather does anyone know if it is going to be cloudy on the Saturday morning in the Arklow area?

Going by latest models, there should be some good sunny spells, clouding over more in the afternoon but the morning looks good for the east coast
